If any of you guys are interested in downloaded your own copy of this video, I have various formats at www.dualtality.com.
It was captured in uncompressed 720p with a Black Magic Intensity card, meaning the video will look exactly like as if you are playing the game in 720p on your HDTV or monitor if you download it. I highly recommend downloading it, the stream doesn't do the video quality justice. For some reason, the audio boosts randomly at 4 seconds and there are skipped frames throughout the stream playback, making it choppy. The youtube/download isn't like that, so be sure to check those out. Unfortunately, us console fragvid makers don't have the luxury of keyframing angles in Maya, exporting 3D models out of the demo, or applying green screens to aspects of the clip. Halo doesn't give us much to work with; we have to get the angles by hand with a controller, and are limited to only rotoscoping since we cannot manipulate the demo. Despite these disadvantages, I hope some of you find some enjoyment in these Halo videos because we've been enjoying your PC videos for quite some time. I wish I could submit this write up without a score, but it won't let me :/ Excuse my high score, I spent 8 months making it so I'm biased as hell. |

The intro was really good, it build up som kind of atmosphere because you could easily see that this was something really well done.
Towards the first part of the movie was there a really good build up of gameplay, getting better and better. Second part was a bit faster paced and more intense, wich is something that I like alot when i look back at it. Outro is something I rarely like watching, but this had something videos not often have, but I just kept watching at it, so a big positive there. Gameplay was some of the best I have ever seen, some crazy clips on the best players in the world. Editing was almost perfect, there was 1 or 2 angles that just didn't fit so well, other than that was syncing outstanding, and angles made a really good understanding of the situation. Music and quality was really good. Overall rate: 9.4 |

Too me this video is an inspiration. I aspire to have a video of this quality. Obviously the gameplay was off the charts when it comes to Halo and if you question that you probably have never played it. The editing was like none i have ever seen (console wise{that of course being because of the capabilities we have}). Some of the best players in the world were in this video and there wasn't a clip that dissapointed. The soundtrack was one of the best I've heard and it really added to the video in a good way. It kept me pumped and there wasn't' a moment in which I was bored at all. The intro really helped to build up the momentum and keep the video alive during the second song. 10/10.
Thanks alot Frag for one of my favorite Halo videos, inspiration, help, and modivation. |

Perfect 10/10. This is by far the best Halo 3 montage to date. The music
was fantastic, the gameplay and editing were phenomenal, and not to mention the quality? Insane. All around the pinnacle for Halo 3 montages, this is the best that you will ever see for one. Great job, Hans. It was worth the hell of a long time. |

I have to be honest and say the video stream really doesn't do this video that much justice, but a video is only about the quality of the picture to a certain extent.
The video was probably released about a year ago and is still considered by many to be the best around and with good reason. I don't have the time to give a full in depth review at all so i'll just say this. Also, I think it's stupid that some people from the PC gaming community are unable to accept console videos, to be honest these plays are still extremely hard to get regardless of the auto aim in the game. You cannot compare Halo 3 to another shooter on the PC - both take skill, you cannot win a game by relying on a slight amount of auto aim. |

The worst part about Halo 3 is that it's only on a console, automatically giving it a disadvantage. Most console montages simply cannot compete with the PC, which is why this video gets a lower score.
As far as content is concerned, it is top-notch Halo 3 gaming. Plenty of overkills and exterminations, with just enough variety to keep itself from becoming too repetitive. The editing, while great in its own right, could have been better (I'm a big editing fanboy, so I prefer over-the-top eyecandy). The montage did manage to flow quite well, it's just not my style. The music, with the exception of Anberlin's over-used song "Feel Good Drag", was great! I loved Eminem and Linkin Park, and "Fin" was an interesting choice that set the tone for the second half of the montage. Ultimately, "Dualtality" is a great movie, being set-back primarily by the limitations of consoles. 8.8/10 |

Great video. The str8 video was alright but it was way overdone with useless effects. This video is the best halo video i've seen so far. Good job Frag.

Really a great Halo3 movie!
I first recognized that there is a Halo3 Moviemakingcommunity existing while scrolling through the MovieVault randomly. There were some video which were quiete interesting, but just not my taste. This one is completely different imo. The music fits perfectly to the frag-footage and the 3D design is absolutly briliant! Anyways, I guess you guys did an awesome job by presenting this masterpiece not just to the H3F community, but also to the whole world. Keep it that way. |

From start to finish one of the best made halo videos. Use of 3rd person in this was just insane. Perfect syncing, perfect music, just pretty much perfect everything. What impresses me even more about this video is the fact that fragtality had just began editing when he made this. He truly has talent and it shows immensely in this video.

This is by far the best Halo 3 movie to date.
I liked the sound track, the atmosphere and especially the transitions. Editing was nice 'n clean tho' there was few angles which didn't seem to wit in, otherwise, there was nothing which would have distracted me from nice content. Oh and the outro, it was actually worth watching and thats a nice plus. As PC player I haven't been able to play halo 3, but for me frags looked phenomenal. Now I'm gong to get my hands on some Halo action. Keep up the good work with H3 movies :) |

As far as halo videos, and console videos in general go, this video isn't one of the best, and it doesn't set the bar, it is the fkn bar. Greatest console montage to date, and many would agree even over the "Str8 Rippin" montage which had a 2 grand budget.
Great Video. I still love it Hans, and I'm still pissed about not being "Lead Advisor", and so is Tom. <3 10/10 -Puls3 |

I honestly do not know what is wrong with these people. This has to be one of the most influential, creative, and innovating montages out there to date. If anyone were to ask what would the best montage to date would be? I would say Dualtality.
This is a perfect example of, well perfection. Everything went with the montage, frags were great, gameplay was amazing, im not going to even get into the editing, loved the music. and the quality was godlike. Its as if Sony Vegas, halo 3, heaven, and a river of gold consummated onto to Compact Disc. 10/10 for you. |

One of the most groundbreaking Halo 3 films to date. Being that console gaming is limited to being, well, a console, Fragtality did a great job with editing and utilization of angles.
While the gameplay did lack at times, I had to keep in mind, a lot of these frags were on top competitors in the Halo 3 community. Both Anberlin songs are awesome, but Fin appeals so much to the audience's emotions and for me, it actually makes me want to play Halo 3, something a video can rarely ever do. Amazing job to everyone who had a hand in this. |

With all due respect I would have to say this frag-vid is BARELY overrated. I'm sorry to say this but there was some elements that were missing to this that could have been better. Now the 3d alone was absolutely incredible. The best thing about this edit is obviously the cinematics, with complex angles and relevant circumstances it all adds up to the general feelings of my watch. This deserved to win the competition but I still feel I have seen better halo videos out there. Fragtality will essentially be the best editor in halo within the near future.
9/10 Its amazing to know that you were the star of the best halo 2 vid and now your going to pass Zola for the greatest editor....well next to obscure that is. =) |

This video is seen as the benchmark in quality among halo videos. Basically agree with NepR's write up on this one. Love the theater/free cam work in this video. This is a quality piece of digital media ;).

In general, the movie was really good. Probably one of the best H3 fragvids I've seen. The intro was really good. It was really calm and the angles were great (considering your limitations). I was really pleased that the fragpart wasn't over edited. The frags were good. I think the only thing that could improve it would be some colors and no hud. (but that's just me). I also think there was a lack of effects but I believe that the great syncing made up for it. I really liked some of the cinematics you added too. The soundtrack was unique. Stuff I wouldn't expect from a normal H3 vid.
Overall, the vid is good, and nice job getting this on tmv. |

This montage really created a new standard for H3 videos. It's the closest anyone has come to creating a PC level Fragvid in the console world, and Fragtality did it while learning the programs from scratch.
I think were this video stands out, as others have said, is the cinematic feel Frag created within the video. Obviously console games are quite limited when it comes to getting camera angles, but Bungie has created one of the first tools for console video makers to work with. Fragtality used the Theater to its true potential with Dualtality. I expect to see other videos build off of what Fragtality started, and when we look back at it Dualtality will be one of the most influential console fragvids in history. |

Being an avid halo player I can safely say that everything going into this video is amazing. The frags are top notch, the editing was amazing especially for how limited console editors are, and the music and quality were both excellent. The video definitely kept me captivated and I have watched it multiple times.

A groundbreaking video. I know for a fact Hans put a lot of effort into this. The camera work was innovative and refreshing. I think this is what breathed fresh air into the H3 community when it came out.
The only thing slightly dissapointing was the gameplay. |

The editing was so smooth and so well done. The music flowed so well with all the gameplay. This movie was so amazing it as almost surreal.

Video Review
I was really impressed with this movie which came from two outstanding players and friends. The start of this film was great, one of the better intros I've seen for Halo 3. Being that Halo 3 doesn't have a smoothing system like PC games the angles and transitions were done very well. This movie breaks through the barriers set by console gaming in the past and introduces a new type of halo video: a theatrical and cinematic experience that pulls the viewer into each frag instead of just piling frag after frag on top of one another. The gameplay throughout the video exemplifies clutch reactions under pressure and definitely will not bore. With its own mixed soundtrack, this was one of the first halo videos to take audio editing to another level. While the editing and sound mixing plays a large part in the quality of a video, the 3D modeling work cannot be overlooked, and Robosteeze and Ell did a magnificent job which made this good video great. All together this movie was a breakthrough for Halo and respectively deserves its spot as one of the greatest.
