As I first started watching this film the introduction startled
me, it wasn't until the third flash that I figured out what was
going on. The intro text felt a bit weak to me, however the title
text was tastefully done. If you are looking for flashy effects
you will have a hard time finding them, this film focus's on the
content rather than the effects/transitions. Luckily, the content
is nothing short of amazing. With an 80/20 mix of team/pug
footage, the frags range from jaw dropping 1 deags, stellar awp
shots, and an arsenal of spray and pray madness. The soundtrack
for the film doesn't really suit the content. I mean you are
watching five players drop to a single clip of a deagle, and the
music sounds like something you would hear at church. I can only
imagine how hard it would be to sync this soundtrack, which is
why there is very little of it. Overall I feel the content makes
this film, any addition of flashy effects or unnecessary
transitions would have belittled this production. In the future
use a better suited soundtrack, the same caliber frags, and clean
up the overall production a bit more and you have an instant legend.

Overall I quite liked this movie, just like all the other source
of reality movies serp did an awesome job by using some clean
good editing, nice coloursettings, good animated nameplate, and
collecting some sick frags, which he used to sync to the chill
and relaxed songs, I really want to give him credits for the
usage of these songs, as its something different than emo rock or
screamy music, wherefore it was a relaxing movie, more than an
adrenaline movie, which is the only thing I miss here, the
adrenaline and the WOW factor. Also I wasnt big fan of the
text/fonts used. Apart from that a great addition to the Vault by
serp, and I am hoping to see more from him.

When I first watched this movie I said "wow I want to watch this
again" This movie had it all, the music, the frags, and the
attitude. It all starts in the beginning when you hear the
infamous Blink182 come on with perfectly synced fast paced frags
which gives you a preview of the movie. Then the movie rolls into
the least of conventional songs, but it works. The beats
Coldplay's -Vida La Vida runs along with some amazing frags leg
by the AWP. In this movie there is a very nice overlay of the
player's name that is simple but very attractive at the same
time. A couple of things I wish there was more of though are
effects and transitions. This movie is based on how clean it is
but the transitions just got from clip to clip also, not a lot of
effects with just the overlay being the main product of this.
When coming to the end, Serp incorporates his credits with some
of the sickest knifes, flick shots, no scopes, and randoms I have
witnessed in The Movie Vault. I truly enjoyed this movie with its
unique music, and shots.

the focus of this movie was clearly the frags, the music gave the
movie a mellow feel to it which in some way complimented some of
the frags. OVerall the editing was pretty basic, nothing new was
brought to the table, but it suited the style of the movie which
was frag oriented, also little attention was paid to the
transitions. The
sync was generally ok, but couldve been worked better in areas. The
intro reallly was a lttle too basic for its own good; and really
needed a little more depth imo; the player bar contrasted the
mellow music too much imo and didnt match the tone of the movie.
Although this movie was alot better than serps previous work, and
it is evident alot of time and effort was spent on the final
product; gj ;)

Let me start by saying that no where did i expect to see Viva La
Vida in a counterstrike video, but yet you did a nice job in
syncing the song at times with shots - props. Very revolutionary
to choose a more slow song - more props. I think viewers would be
more of a fan towards adrenaline filled music along lines with
Addicted 2's Flyleaf. Nice collection of frags also. Frag after
Frag amused me as i NEVER felt the urge to exit my browser. I
liked the whole viva la vida strobe light on the left hand side.
I wasn't a fan of the texting though. Nice Job, keep working on
more videos :)

The syncing of the video is unmatched to me honestly. Although,
this doesn't change the fact that I believe the soundtrack
definitely could have been chosen better. The first song was slow
and while it doesn't seem to fit gaming the syncing definitely
made it work. In a way the first song just comes down to me
personally not liking the music type. Once the second song hit
that honestly just killed the movie for me at that time. The song
is generally a good song but it definitely didn't allow for the
amazing syncing that was used previously in the video. While the
second song did drill my brain a bit I was rewarded afterwords
with a great song. Honestly, I loved what was done with the third
song/credits of the movie. It wasn't synced as much as the first
song but there was more syncing then the second and it fit the
movie quite well. I would have liked to have seen more of that
type of music used throughout the movie. It is certainly a good
addition to the Vault and while the music wasn't top notch the
rest of it certainly was.

Well the quality of this movie was definitely some of the best I
have ever seen. This movie blew me away with the song choices,
they were amazing. The editing was pretty good, even though it
was based out onto the frags. The frags are quite simply amazing.
Some of the best seen in along time. You really get to see the
amazing rounds people get in matches.
Only thing that gets old is all the deag and awp kills. That was
half the damn movie.

I disagree about the music choice, I thought it was awesome,
different, and fit the feeling of the movie very well. Good
frags, good music, and good clean editing and recording.
Impressive =) Something to model myself after!

At first I didn't like this movie because of the music and
editing. It wasn't something I've seen a lot in frag movies. But
I can't stop watching this movie, I've probably watched it 20+
times now.

Outstanding. The soundtrack was fresh and the syncing was spot
on. As soon as I saw the first 3k awp round, I knew I was in for
a ride and Source of Reality 3 delivered. The simple editing and
transition work was all that was necessary to compliment the
frags, which are easily the bread and butter of this video. Pure
entertainment. Keep up the good work.

Great, all this video proves is that you dont need thrashing
metal soundtracks to make a movie work, hes not convering up
substandard frags with lots of video editing, he's throwing in
some of the best frags I've seen into a video for showcasing
exactly that. I'm
not quite sure
the lostprophets fit into the rest of the soundtrack, but it
seemed to work. The clean look to the movie means you can really
concentrate on the quality of the players making the frags and i
think thats what its all about.

Good video, not too many clever editing tricks, just nice and
fairly simple looking (which is great because it doesn't ruin
your view of the kills like some films do), the frags were
brilliant. Favourite has to be the 4 man one deags :D. The music
was good too.

Video Review ◄
This is Serp’s third community movie, and we have seen much improvement from this talented producer since his first film. The idea behind this movie was to emphasize frags so people could capture the significance of each clip. This film features content from matches, scrims, and pugs by players from all across Europe. With such skilled players, the frags are nothing less than amazing. With Serp's use of a clean editing style, the frags are portrayed very nicely throughout each sequence. Although the content was breathtaking, there was a lack in creativity throughout the film. Some of the transitions seemed to be lacking and the name display was ripped from a Video Copilot tutorial. Considering the song choice, Serp did a good job syncing the frags to the tempo accordingly. Overall, Serp did a very nice job capturing the feeling of competitive gaming by using an innovative soundtrack and clean editing.
