Video Review ◄
To Start things off with this video, I have a few things to say regarding the quality. Yes, this video is old. Had this video been uploaded around the time it was finished, it would stack up considerably well with movies that came out during that time. A lot of these movies have eluded my attention for a while now, and I was finally able to give them my full attention. Now that I've cleared that up, let's dive into Unified.
I love the introduction to this movie. It sets the tone for what is to come in the frag scene. This movie features frags from a handful of DoDS players from All over the world including Ducky and Du2l. The audible captions add to the emotional feeling that the intro delivers. The whole introduction portrays the image that although many people from around the world, with all of the disagreement, hatred and war, something simple as a video game can unify us all.
The creativity of the overall movie is to simply show off frags, and not the editing skills of Rodo and Ximbas. The editing is clean, the effects are subtle, lightly coating the footage, rather than over coating them. It's basically about the content, and the frags are pretty decent. Breaking Benjamin is pretty overused by now. Some of the shots don't sync up and the song ends abruptly, followed by the credits, which are simple but tasteful. The quality was ok, but it seemed that the hud blended in with the color scheme at times. the kills on the deathnotice have a yellow background and sometimes it gets lost in the light. overall its pretty decent.
Simply put this video was meant to show off the talent of the players and not pf the producer. I still enjoyed the simple editing. The music was great, even if overused. The footage was excellent and overall it was an all right video.
