Really nice movie. Music was good, editing was brilliant. The intro produced a kind of epic feeling. Rapid transitions and astonishing frags presented in rugged colours = Perfect! I would have liked to see a wee bit more special effects during longer sequences and flashing light effects and at least a few more nade kills, but maybe that's just me...
All in all a really good frag film. I thoroughly enjoyed the watch! |

Video Review
It's 2010, and I was looking forward to my first review. I wanted to start out with something that peeked my interest. A twelve minute day of defeat movie usually would send me in the other direction. after looking at the quality that the source engine brought to Day of Defeat Source, you could imagine the disappointment. In retrospect I can say that it was surprising to see something from dod look so good.
The cinematic quality from the beginning throughout the entire film was amazingly better than most of the videos I've seen coming from this game. The insertion of after effects titles within the intro added to the epic feel that Tieum was going for. The color scheme, the music and the fact that its an older game all fit together in providing a decent introduction to the rest of the movie.
The title seems adequate for the movie, as team Arsenik tears down their competition and rises above, victorious. The content is just incredible. It tops some of the dods team movies. The effects, we've already seen in most movies here in the vault, but why complain? It fits the movie so well and Tieum keeps the continuity all the way to the end. The music may be a bit used up, I know. Having said that, I think its a refreshing way to match techno/dance with a retro game. Nothing bad to say about the quality. It was pretty good.
What else to say? It's a good movie and definitely a grand addition to the dod section here at the movie vault. It was enjoyable to watch and never disappointed. I don't know if Tieum will make another movie, but i sure do hope so. If not, this movie will stand alone as being one of the best movies out from Tieum. Excellent work.
